Abstract The Youziping lead-zinc deposit in Longsheng County, Guangxi is hosted by the Neoproterozoic Danzhou group. Six orebodies, in veined and lenticular shapes controlled by NEE- and NE-trending faults, has been recognized. The ore mineral composition is relatively simple, with lead concentrated in the top and zinc in the bottom. The deposit genetically belongs to post-magmatic meso-epithermal type, with main mineralization epoch in Caledonian. Based on the analysis of the metallogenic geological conditions, geological features and ore-controlling factors of the deposit, with geophysical and geochemical survey results, it is concluded that the deep of the orefield has a good prospecting potential.
